I was commissioned to paint this very detailed watercolor portrait of Positano, Italy by the bride and groom as a "Thank You" gift for the groom's parents in appreciation for all their support - a very thoughtful memory gift that is sure to be appreciated and treasured for a lifetime.
Positano, a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast, is a popular holiday destination with a beautiful beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes. This spectacular view from the couple's hotel room includes the majolica-tiled dome of the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in the foreground below.
