I painted this winter sunset scene of evergreens by a snowy northern lake around 1990 before digital photo technology was common. Before I got my photos of the image back from being developed, the painting was sold and I was unable to re-take a better photo. I did not want to offer inferior quality art prints for sale so I did not put the low resolution image on this site. Recently, I did some creative photo manipulation to the image. I re-shot a photo of my old paper photograph of the watercolor painting with my high resolution digital camera and applied a number of digital special effects to the re-shot photo. The two images above are the best results of my efforts which I believe will make good reproduction prints, although they no longer have the look of watercolor!
