Yes, we went South for a winter vacation - to the northern United States. The tranquil sunny winter landscapes of the Adirondacks, Stowe Valley, Vermont and Maine were the inspiration for some of my vibrant and colorful paintings of the northern U.S.A. We came upon this peaceful winter scene of a Stowe Valley farm while on a ski trip in beautiful Vermont. I snapped a quick photo and later had the pleasure of painting it, reliving happy memories in the warmth of my studio.
