This is eight-year-old Lauren with her little black kitten called Happy. Her mom sent me her favorite photo of Lauren with her sweet little cat but it was too blurry and indefinite to see details of her face. She then sent me a high resolution photo taken by her grandpa. I used both as reference in composing this watercolor portrait.
Just after I had completed this painting, I was told that the kitten was lost and Lauren was heartbroken. Hope they will be TOGETHER AGAIN soon!
