I painted this watercolor painting for my story book called "My Brother and I" by Hanne Lore Koehler. This is the story of the sports and activities that two brothers enjoy through the seasons as they are growing up together. Like most children, they have a special wish for a pet which, for now, lives in their imagination. Featured here are the boys ice skating with their imaginary dog. I used photos of the children as reference to compose the paintings. The dog and concept for the winter scene were from my imagination - must be a family trait.
