I painted this snow boarding illustration for my story book called "My Brother and I" by Hanne Lore Koehler. This is the story of the sports and activities that two brothers enjoy together through summer and winter. Like most children, they have a special wish for a pet which, for now, lives in their imagination. Featured here are the boys snow boarding with their imaginary dog.
This is the fantasy version of my painting called Snowboard Psyched (image 4-13 in this gallery). I used photos of our grandsons as reference for the snowboarding children in this painting. The dog was painted completely from my imagination. Whose fantasy is this, anyway?
