The extreme mountain bike experience is not complete without accepting the challenge of the Rocky Mountains. I was commissioned to paint this enthusiastic athlete on his mountain bike descending a steep slope in The Rocky Mountains. The photo was snapped by his friend and given to me to use as reference for my watercolor painting in my studio. The painting had to be full of movement and energy, representative of the excitement of meeting the challenge of conquering the Rockies on a bike, yet detailed enough to be a recognizable portrait.

Wow, I love this painting Hanne. I've spent the last hour playing with color combos for frame and matte to WAKE UP a large wall in my living room.
