My basic PRICE LIST will give you a general idea of my fees; however, for a definite quote, please email your photo and specifications (size, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil) along with details you would like added, omitted, changed or combined with another photo and request a FREE quotation for the commission of your work of art.
I would be delighted to examine your photographs and offer suggestions. I specialize in painting composition. If you have a photo in which facial expression is great but you are not happy with the pose, the background, etc., I will compose the painting extracting elements from a number of different photos to your satisfaction. This intimate portrait is an oil on canvas painting of a nude couple in the boudoir. I have the utmost respect and admiration for the beauty of the human body - no matter what shape or form. I have tried to capture this intimate tender moment with sensitivity and candor.
THE JOY OF LACE is my expression of the wonders and beauty of the human body. It is one of four figurative nude oil paintings I painted in 1979 before digital camera technology. After taking photos of the paintings, I sent the film away to be developed. In the meantime, the four paintings were sold; unfortunately, my photos did not turn out as well as I had hoped and, since I no longer had the original oil paintings, it was too late to re-shoot the photos. I kept the paper photos for my records. Recently, I decided to take digital photos of my old paper photos and try some digital manipulation to see if I could salvage the images. I discovered that the possibilities are endless. I chose this version of the nude couple enjoying a gentle romantic touch in their boudoir. I believe it would be perfect for today's master bedroom retreat.
