If you have a photo in which facial expression is great but you are not happy with the pose, the background, etc., I will compose the painting extracting elements from a number of different photos to your satisfaction. This is an original oil pastel drawing study completed in 1948 by artist (my dad), Otto Werner (1923-1991) of Michelangelo's The Pieta (1498-1499), a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo. This famous work of art depicts the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the Crucifixion. Pieta is Italian for pity.
