This is an oil painting by my dad, Otto Werner (1923 - 1991). This plein air painting of his fishing camp site was done in 1954. This is just a small painting - apparently fishing was more urgent than painting. I must say, my parents picked up the Canadian lifestyle quickly, studied and learned to speak English really well - although you could still detect that German accent to the end.
