This is an oil painting by my dad, Otto Werner (1923 - 1991). Cressman's Woods was near my parents home in Kitchener, Ontario where I grew up. As a child, I loved the regular Sunday afternoon walks with my parents on the trails that wind through the area. Autumn was particularly beautiful there. Today, the sweet smell of rotting leaves still brings back happy memories of those simple times spent exploring. Occasionally, we would bring hot dogs to roast on a stick over a wood fire; those were the best hot dogs I have ever eaten.
