Beginning as a digital photo of glass Ikea Easter eggs, I created this abstract digital painting by applying a variety of digital special effects and distinctive digital painting elements in a photo manipulation program in transparent layers that allowed brilliant sunlight reflections and refractions to flood the image with warmth and beauty. I adjusted temperature, hue, saturation, brightness to complete the composition.
I love the soft rich hues of cool blues, greens and turquoise that sparkle in the sunlight. Reminiscent of sea glass these wonderful cool colors are warmed by a flash of yellow like sunshine in a refreshing sea breeze.
