I was commissioned to paint this watercolor lakeside home portrait by a dear friend of the homeowners who sympathized with their reluctance to sell their childhood vacation spot. I can imagine all the wonderful family memories that were created at this lakefront cottage - the barbeques, the swimming, the boating - all those fun activities that remain in your heart for a lifetime. How thoughtful of this friend to recognize their ambivalence as they sold this treasure. This thoughtful gift is sure to be appreciated and treasured. The original watercolor painting of this northern Ontario family vacation home was commissioned by a client from Milton, Ontario.
