This original watercolor painting along with its partner, BOSS HOG were commissioned by a collector of these beautiful machines. She supplied me with the photos to use as reference. This magnificent motorcycle has such gorgeous detail, it was a pleasure to paint. To balance the finicky detailed watercolor painting of the motorbike, I treated the background more loosely in an impressionistic style, carefully masking the subject bike, then splashing on the wild color background. Although it is obvious that the bike is not moving, the intense color and lively background bring movement to the picture.
