The title of my original Japanese Maple tree painting called BREAKING AWAY not only represents the colorful fall maple leaves that are releasing in the autumn wind, it is representative of me personally breaking away from my usual style. Although I am still combining an impressionistic background with the realism of the foreground leaves, I have also incorporated a bit of the abstract by allowing the paint to run down in this fluid acrylic painting.
