This contemporary colorful Autumn watercolor painting of a Northern Ontario creek in the forest was a complete joy for me to paint. The cascading waterfalls tumble over enormous boulders, the bones of the land, deep in the heart of the Canadian forest. The meandering creek contains many catch basins and calm little pools abundant with polliwogs (Tadpoles) in the Spring but on a beautiful Fall day such as the one pictured here, the adult frog is preparing to hybernate deep in the mud. This is where my soul is happiest.
