Your galleries are truly inspiring to me, Hanne. One piece is more lovely than the last. I noticed in your description here that Haliburton is one of the places your work references. I spent many wonderful summers and some fall weeks as a child and teenager with my family at Birch Point Lodge there on Lake Kashagawigamog where we made life-long friends with whom we still keep in touch. Is that spot, by chance, familiar to you? Unfortunately, the lodge has been torn down in more recent years to make way for some sort of luxury condos. :-( Such a beautiful place, and what wonderful memories were made there!

We, too have wonderful memories of Lake Kashagawigamog! We used to take the boat to town (Haliburton) for groceries, have an ice cream and check out the local color. Yes, I remember boating past Birch Point Lodge. We used to stay at Edgewater Cottages. I composed most of my kayak paintings from photos we took at the white water river near the neighboring town of Minden. Thanks for bringing back the memories, Barbara!
