From this vantage point, known to the locals at Six-mile Lake in Muskoka, Ontario as Inukshuk Look-out, you can see life more clearly as the glorious summer sun sets into the shimmering lake. This Inukshuk was built by a young man named Mike after recuperating from a near-death experience. It was this pristine view of the world and a sunset scene like this where quiet contemplation recharges the spirit, that inspired him to let the world know that he had been there. Building an Inukshuk, a stone monument in the image of a man, in the tradition of the Inuit of the north was his way of saying "Mike was here".
