Still life painting of a rusty old hand water pump that has long been replaced by modern indoor plumbing. In the silent early morning mist, this old relic with its rusted-out galvanized bucket brigade suddenly seem to burst to life with the arrival on the scene of three excited Bluebirds looking for a quick drink and bath. So much for "still" life!

Still life painting of a century-old hand water pump that has been overgrown with wild flowers. In the shade of a grove of Manitoba Maples, this was once the perfect spot for a refreshing rest from chores.
COUNTRY CHARM
Still life painting of a rickety old hand water pump that has been overgrown with Shasta Daisies and Day Lilies that flourish in Ontario country meadows. Rusted watering cans and broken clay pots complete the scene. Although this is essentially a Still Life painting, summer breezes echo in the flow of the painting and movement of the plants and wire fencing.

SPRING AT LAST!
Birdhouses lovingly built in the workshop to pass the time during the long winter in anticipation of this day fill a home-made wheelbarrow that stands ready to tackle the day's chores with renewed vigor now that it is Spring at Last! A pair of Finches flit around the structures and already claim one for their new home. Wooden flats overflow with greenhouse grown annuals that are anxious to be planted. Although this is a Still Life painting, it is teaming with life and there seems to be a sense of urgency to the scene. Come on, get to work!
