"A Canadian Artist can't help but be influenced by Canada's climate. As each new season interprets its own version of the landscape, defining seemingly endless varieties of terrain in breathtaking beauty, I too feel compelled to paint my rendition of the spectacle. I am constantly awed by serendipitous discoveries - from windswept fishing villages to granite outcroppings among waves of forest hills, from fragrant marshes teeming with new life to unmarked prairie trails and lush green valleys flanked by mountain sentinels.
There is not enough time in a billion lifetimes to paint all the possibilities."

A collection of North American Landscape paintings by contemporary landscape artist Hanne Lore Koehler spans all four seasons. These vibrant watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings depict both Canadian landscapes and the northern United States. Her winter landscape paintings feature creeks and streams of Northern and Southern Ontario, seaside fishing villages of the eastern seaboard such as Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia and sleepy winter farm scenes of Vermont. Spring landscape paintings depict rugged country scenes, farmland, fly fishing scenes in Algonquin Park, Muskoka, Huntsville and sunset views of the western horizon in Washington state. Summer landscape paintings feature lakes, forests, rivers and streams of The Eastern Townships, Muskoka, Haliburton, Huntsville, Northern and Southern Ontario and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Maine, the Smokies and Adirondacks. Autumn landscape paintings feature the colorful spectacular scenes that exemplify the changing seasons of the North.
